# CompliSey Privacy Policy (registration & licensing)

## What we collect at registration
- Contact name, email, phone
- Organisation / legal name and entity type (individual or corporate)
- Requested seats / staff information
- Optional organisation details when you complete registration (address, sector, supervisor, registration number)
- Consent records (Terms/Privacy acceptance, timestamp, IP, browser)
## Why we process it
- To issue trial and paid activation keys
- To communicate download links and licence administration
- To quote seat counts and support your evaluation
- Legal obligations and security/audit of licence issuance
## Lawful basis
- Contract / steps prior to contract (trial and licence)
- Legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, product administration)
- Consent where we ask for optional marketing (unchecked by default)
## Retention
Registration and licence ledger records are retained for the life of the commercial relationship and a reasonable period thereafter for audit and dispute handling.
## Your rights
Depending on applicable law (including GDPR where it applies), you may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data we hold about you as a contact, subject to legal retention needs.
## Controllers / DPA
For paid corporate customers, a Data Processing Agreement may apply to any hosted processing. On-premises customer data in your CompliSey install remains under your control.
